Apple id old and new

I recently changed (not created new) id and password. My ipad and iphone show me signed in to the correct id, but I still get asked for a password for my old id, why is that? Anyone?

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.3

Your probably trying to update apps purchased on that ID. Apple ID and iTunes accounts can be set up separately. See here for details.

You say you did not create a new one? If so, just make sure you've signed out of everything under settings, and signed in again with the updated ID . iTunes & App Stores, iCloud, Mail, Facetime, etc...
