Last night I updated my iPhone 4S to a iOS 6.1.3 and now it drains my battery in extremely fast manner. As I started signing in to write this question from my iPhone I already lost 13% of my battery. I never had a problem with a battery and ive been using iphones since the first one. i miss my morning class because of it because my alarm clock didn't because my phone was dead. Please fix it or have no choice but buy Samsung GS4

i've the same issue. i went to sleep when the battery is 100% and i woke up with the battery completely FLAT.
I suggest reading the message list you just posted to for suggestions about how others have fix the problem.
You guys need to stop this. If you don't like your apple product, you have other options. What is this complaining going to do for you?
New update (6.1.3) draining my iPhone's 4S battery. Usage time = standby time.

That is answered further along in the thread (my post was specifically to someone who has an Exchange account), but the principle is the same. Find the app that is draining the battery because it is stuck in a loop. For mail, it can be any email account that supports Push (iCloud, Yahoo, gmail, AOL, Hotmail). If you have ANY of these turn them off and reboot, then turn them back on. After that look for other apps that can be using data and stuck. Facebook is a common one, so start with that (just kill it in the Quick Launch ribbon).
Sorry, missed your earlier post. Somehow my 5 doesnt even charge in my car anymore, so battery drainage problem is even worse.
Shut down all aps, but still losing a percent every couple of minutes
It also starts up automaticaly after shutting down. Been a long time since a computer problem made me hopeless like this :-)
Realise its a luxury problem but annoying enough ;-)
Why should we look into these posts because of stupid morons in filthy apple? I will definately move to galaxy S4 in this summer..
I just upgraded on my iPhone 5 and ran into a huge battery issue. Came here and tried solutions but it is still having the battery drain issue. Not a happy camper. Apple - please communicate with us
Next step: closed all aps, waited to run the battery to zero, charging again but no reaction anymore. Black screen.
I followed all steps to solve this problem but nothing changed, usage time still equal stanby time
i am too losing 1 percent of battery every few mins. I've completely erased all content and settings started as new but its still no good. prior to the update i was actually impressed with the battery life. now im dissapointed. wish i never updated the **** thing. I've only had this phone for 5 days !! gezz
Solved my Iphone 5 battery drainage problem.
No heartbeat anymore, hardware reset wouldnt help, got a new one from my provider kpn.com
I had the same problem!
did it 10 times and not solved.
Then restarted and tried installing all apps with NO DATA AND NO 3G activated, only WI Fi.
enabled both when every sngle app was installed..
Not drained ever since....!
