iOS 6.1.3 battery drainage

Last night I updated my iPhone 4S to a iOS 6.1.3 and now it drains my battery in extremely fast manner. As I started signing in to write this question from my iPhone I already lost 13% of my battery. I never had a problem with a battery and ive been using iphones since the first one. i miss my morning class because of it because my alarm clock didn't because my phone was dead. Please fix it or have no choice but buy Samsung GS4

I have found out one of the main problems is that after the update it keeps trying to download emails 27/7 even if you dont have a email account on your phone i have found a way to stop set your fetch to manual for your email account then hard reset your phone holding the home & lock screen buttons till your phone powers off & back on this not a fix but defo improves battery life

I have tried turning off push noifications, turning off more noifications that I don't use, have no icloud nor email accounts, resetting celluar data/3G, turning off location services, and restoring phone to factory settings. None of these solved my problems. I have an iPhone 4 with the the latest iOS of 6.1.3. Any help on this? Can this be a hardware problem? You guys think getting a battery replacement will change anything? 😠

I have iphone 5 32 gb & updated6.1.3 at yesterday i noticed that battery life improved my phone battery running 1.5 times than ios 6.0.1 like to be 18 hours

i used all day internet more than 85 calls , facebook whatapp browsing etc also avg 3 hours music & 30 hours video watch

Why other complaint about ios 6.1.3 i dont know. If software is universal ios 6.1.3 so i think promblem of hardware or carrior promblem only.

have you tried backing up your phone creating a new user profile on windows & redownloading itunes sometimes the IPSW file that you download from Apple via itunes by wifi doesnt correctly update to your device. If you have done update via the cable your best to speak to them on 08000480408. The problem with issues like this is their isnt a similarity to each persons problem with Battery drain & wifi issues as we all have different apps & content on our phones. Always wondered wether the Diagnostic & usage does actually help to improve their products or if like other Manufacturers they just include this to make us the consumers believe their is going to be vast improvement all thanks to their reporting tool.

Backing up & restoreing your device is a waste of time if your haveing issues because any bugs will b backed up & restored as wel best to factoy reset & totally whipe your device but to save you the time resetting back to only stock apps it dont solve this issue its 6.1.3 plain & simple my phone was totally fine untill i updated via lead on itunes & my 4s is only 6 weeks old this is my 4th iphone & this not the 1st time iso has caused issues all 3 of my 3gs kept hard restting after 5 or 6 mins in to a call due to ios 4.0.1 & all 3 of them did this straight out of the box

This will be the last apple device i will ever buy i have a samsung galaxy with has been updated dropped several times left on charge by mistake over night & yet still works perfectly after 2yrs of mostly abuse apple are just unreliable & there biggest problem is the idiots doing these shoddy half assed ios updates that keep repeatedly causing problems for there customers & all you ever get is the same old bs trouble shooting from tech support when thay no fine well ios is the issue bad customer relations that is basicly bare faced lying to the customers

@JohannBelet... I don't know much about connection either, but it makes no difference it is just in 6.1.3!

and we have to wait. Not that we need to do so patiently.

I know my new 4S will not ALLOW any closure of 4G that I can find. I can turn WiFi off but not 4G..

AS to above suggestion of restoring blank phone. and adding each APP and waiting an hour to see if batt drains

HOOEY... I have a live to live and things to do!

I awoke this AM to a 20% drain during the night when 3 tweets were favorited! GAH!!!

I just keep turning off all recently used apps (because Apple is too stupid to do so when you close and go to home screen... and clearing free memory with SYS ACTIVITY Manager. I noted last nigh when Battery report came on when I plugged in that MAX phone usage for 'internet' activity is something like 4 hours...

Unacceptable!

ANYWAY I just keep sending out TWEETS telling people to NOT NOT NOT Buy a MOBILE APPLE PRODUCT till this is solved. That got a lot of action last week! Apple doesn't like that!

'REMEMBER ALL Do NOT Buy an @Apple MOBILE product until you hear they have solved 6.1.3 BATTERY DRAIN problem See tinyurl.com/cluk73z
