iOS 6.1.3 battery drainage

Last night I updated my iPhone 4S to a iOS 6.1.3 and now it drains my battery in extremely fast manner. As I started signing in to write this question from my iPhone I already lost 13% of my battery. I never had a problem with a battery and ive been using iphones since the first one. i miss my morning class because of it because my alarm clock didn't because my phone was dead. Please fix it or have no choice but buy Samsung GS4

42 minutes on 100%?

No smartphone on planet earth can be used for nearly an hour and be at 100%.

Maybe 42min standby and it didn't drop? Is that what you're saying? Is this with all features on? Data on?

I doubt that you're using an iPhone 5 "tough" for 7:20hrs. Give me your phone. You'll see it dead in about 5 hours.

There are guys here who turn on Data only when they want to do something. So, they take out their phones 50 times a day to see if they have any messages.

As usual. This is what happens.

Users have a problem. It's obviously not anyone's fault. Just iOS *****. So, they come here. They say their batteries die too fast after they updated to iOS 6.1.3.

So what's the first thing fanboys do? They blame the user. They say, well, it's your settings. No. It's Chrome. No. It's your emails. You're holding it wrong. Well, i get WONDERFUL battery life, so it must be you. Etc etc.

Makes me sick.

Even though they weren't having an issue before the update, all of a sudden it's their settings or their apps. Or they need to reset this and that.

I thought the iPhone was supposed to be easy to use.

6.1.3 is nuts.

How do you explain my phone going from 100% to 99% in 3 minutes on Facebook. Then I restart the phone. Now it's at 100% and it stays at 100% 16 more minutes?

This started happening since 6.1.2.

You're telling me its my settings? My apps? I need to reset? I need to restore? All which I've done countless times.

Ios has a problem. Apple won't fix it. Why? Because iOS 7 is coming soon. They'll fix it then. In the meantime we are screwed.

Nowadays, in the era of social networking and chat and LINE and Whatsapp and push news and all that, it seems like every app is pushing something to your phone. Lots of them anyway.

That's a real iOS FAIL if we have to kill all social and chat apps and turn off push just to get an (almost) day out of an iPhone.

So we are back at square 1. iOS blows.

The Nokia 720 costs half of the price and you can have your push and Facebook and all that stuff turned on and gives you a day and a half of heavy use.

"notice all the users coming here and complaining...I'm not crazy after all am I?"

You moronic idiot! Scroll to the top of page and read the stats! There have been a total of 792 Users who have posted a reply on this forum over 7 weeks! That doesn't even account for users who have posted more than once (like you)! So if you think the fact that 700 users complaining out of 200,000,000 is significant then yes you really are crazy! That's .000003% of 6.1.3 users. LMAO once again.

I bought a used iPhone 4S (6.1.3) a month or two back to update to from my iPhone 4... before activating the iPhone I notced the battery life would drain quickly. Not that it would die instantly, but a general drain that just always happened. I had heard some people experience issues and others don't, so I traded the iPhone 4S for a couple other divices I was looking for. New owner didn't have to worry about battery life due to using the phone at home all the time.

Fast forward to today. I bought another iPhone 4S that had 6.1.3 and got it this weekend. Received from the mail carrier yesterday, powered on and it was nearly at 100% battery, locked the screen and let it sit all of yesterday until this morning when I went to use it. Battery life was less than 20% and the battery indicator was red. No, the device was not sitting looking for Wifi, or attempting to activate.

The iPhone 4 (5.1.1) I was using that whole day and left off the charger overnight had more power than the iPhone 4S that was left not using any type of data all day/night.

In my book there is an issue with 6.1.3 with battery. I am unsure whether it affects all devices, whether it is the result of upgrade vs. being preinstalled. I just know I've owned two 4S's and both had this issue, that's a pretty good batting average in my book.
