WiFi connection fails at startup

Why doesn't MBP Retina succeed with wifi connect at startup, after the recent 10.8.3 and firmware upgrade?

I had no problem before the upgrade.

It happens at every startup.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

It's clearly an OS related problem (ignored by Apple), my iMac running 10.9.3 also suffers from this annoying failure.

Problem persists with Yosemite. Sooo annoying...
