Enabling SSL and weblog rss feeds (itpcs)

Everything was fine with my weblog serving until I added SSL to my pages to protect passwords that I am connecting to with Directory access. The https:// everywhere on the site is working fine. A redirect from the http to the https and a redirect from weblog$ to weblog/ and all seemed good.

The problem is when connecting to a RSS/podcast link of a weblog/podcast.

Normally, the itpc:// links launch iTunes and setup the feeds to the server. Unfortuneately, all the https has caused itpcs which breaks this automatic iTunes connectivity.

Anybody got an idea?
