I recently migrated to a new computer. the time Capsule was working and backing up just fine. Now with the new computer when I tried to start the time capsule I was told that not enough memory was available. So that is why I am looking to clean it out and start fresh.
Time Capsule-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
The easiest way is to simply erase the disk from the airport utility.. do a quick erase as it takes just a minute or two..
You may be using the newer Lion or Mountain Lion operating system on your Mac. If that is the case, AirPort Utility will look a bit different.
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon, then click Edit in the box at appears
Click the Disks tab at the top of the next window
Click Erase Disk
The "Quick Erase" option will be fine for your purpose and it should only time a minute or two
how do I erase the time capsule so that i have space to start new saves?
