Hey, I want to connect my iPod touch 4th generation to an iPhone using Bluetooth. The other user and myself both went to Settings>Bluetooth and made sure it was on. Both devices said they were searching and that they were "Now Discoverable", but they failed to connect. Help!

You can't usefully pair an iPod to an iPhone except to share the phone's internet connection if the phone has the Personal Hotspot feature enabled via the carrier.
You can't connect other devices to each other like that. The only purpose of connecting the two via Bluetooth is if you wanted to share the iPhone's cellular connection with your iPod (personal hotspot). Bluetooth will not work between the two for other purposes.
