Problem Turning on Mail (iCloud)

Hello,


i have an apple id account but not an icloud email account yet. so i turn on the email in iCloud settings on. it tells me to enter username and i do. after this there is a window popping up and says: Problem on Turning on Mail. there was a problem turning on your email, try again


Any ideas?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.2

I had the same problem but I think I've found a solution. If you have more then one Apple device you have to turn on email in iCloud on all your devices at the same time. They will all ask to enter a username but you only have to create one at one of your devices. I have a Mac, iPhone and iPad (also a Apple Watch but that was no problem). I turned on mail in iCloud on all the devices, I chose a emailadress on my Mac. When that seamed to work I cklicked "cancel" on my iPhone and iPad and turned mail on again. After this I got a mail that conformed my mail for iCloud.
