my computer thinks my ipod touch is a camera

My old computer recently broke down, and I lost my iTunes library. I recently got myself a different laptop but I lost all of my old music. Therefor my question has two parts:

1.My Windows XP computer always enters my iPod Touch as a camera. How do I switch this off?

2. Once I've convinced my computer that my iPod Touch is in fact not a camera, is there a way to get my itunes library(which I have not purchased from the Itunes Store) back from my iPod?

Thanks in advance!

- It is normal and expected for the computer to see the iPod as a camera. That is how photos are imported from the iPod to the the computer.

If you want to turn that off see:

iOS: Disabling digital camera notification in Windows

To get iTunes to see the iPod see:

iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
