I have iMovie, but it seems I can't burn my project to a disc. Is this correct?
iMovie does not burn video DVDs, if that's what you wish to do. You'll need additional software, either iDVD which is no longer sold by Apple but can still be found as part of the iLife retail package from a number of sources, or another application that can create and burn video DVDs.

You can still buy versions of Apple's iLife '09 or '11 that still have iDVD app as part of the installation package.
Search Amazon.com for these versions. They still can be purchased.
