Camera Connection Kit and Nikon D800E

Last year I bought the kit to work with my Nikon D300. It worked fine with jpg and RAW files. Now I have a Nikon D800E with 36 Mpx. On my iPad I only see the thumbs and the import is unsuccessfull. If I try to import small jpgs everything is o.k. But with higher resolution it didnt work. Is there a limit in resolution for pictures to import? Knows anyone a solution for this?

BTW the Photo App. or iPhoto shows the RAWs correct.

Since the iPad came out there have been questions about the amount of space needed for photos...the problem in the past has been noted as due to the way Photos indexes and thumbnails each photo...the storage capacity due to the photos themselves may seem to be enough but when you start adding the other components the space limit kicks in. That could be what is happening with the very large photo sizes not being used...the iPad may not be able to allocate enough total space for the photos and indexing and thumbnails.
