None at the present. Since I don't have access to your computer, I suggest update OS. Update Anti-Virus if using any. Stated error no. is not specifically listed but see the following:

http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297

Also attempt USB and Security Software troubleshooting

Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.

Windows computer, remove all USB devices and spare cables other than your keyboard, mouse, and the device, restart the computer, and try to restore. If that does not resolve the issue, try the USB issue-resolution steps and articles listed for Error 1604 above. If the issue persists, it may be related to conflicting security software. If the errors persist on another computer and known-good USB cable, the device may need service.

Cheers

Thanks again. I will work on the first link. It is not a usb problem, as I am not connecting my ipod to the itunes store. All I am trying to do is get my desktop to connect. All worked fine for years and all of a sudden around December 25th, it stopped.I cannot remember downloading or adding anything new but it must be something I did.

Tried all of that with no sucess.

Let me ask you this.

If I delete all ,as done before,ALONG with all song librarys,( meaning all my music) and installed itunes 10. Do you think that might work? That would elimanate the problem of a newer version not being able to open my library( I would guess).

I know there is a way to install all the music from my ipod back to the computer( although I don't remember wher that info is)

Not likely.

You may try this. (Since I have iTunes 10 installed, don't know if these steps are applicable version 11).

If you're getting a repeating 4002 error in iTunes you can fix it by following these few steps:-

1: Go to the 'Store' tab and select 'Turn Off iTunes Match'

2: Return to the 'Store' tab and select 'Update Genius'

3: Wait for this to complete successfully, the return to the 'Store' tab once more and select 'Turn On iTunes Match'.

4: iTunes Match will now restart and succeed.

This will remove and re-create the file that iTunes Match and iTunes Genius uses and remove the problem.

Sorry, I have exhausted all the ideas in my hat, and no resolution to the problem in sight.

BTW once you installed iTunes and it worked satisfactorily except opening your library. Thereafter, did you try update iTunes via Apple's ASU.

Suggest Post a new question: "How to install all the music from my ipod back to the computer ?" And then experiment. Meanwhile, be in touch with b noir.
