I have a Mac Snow leopard. When on Face Time I can hear the other person clearly and he hears me but when he speaks there's an echo where his voice is being thrown back to him. Please could someone help? Thanks.

If this issue is with just one person, this is probably feedback due to the acoustics of that room - the other person's room. Moving the computer around - the other persons computer - and changing the volume might help.

On the other hand if this feedback happens with every person, it's your computer's position and its surroundings that have to be modified with. Just try moving things around on your desk.

The Logitech is C270 and has never caused problems in the past. I'm wondering if the fault is with Face Time itself since everything works fine with Skype. Unfortunately, I haven't been in touch with my brother in Canada this week since the microphone was stuck on Mute so I don't know about the echo that was occurring. I moved the speakers in front of the webcam and facing the front, hoping that the waves from each would not clash, thus preventing sound-back. I hope this will work

Hi! Due to all the help you've given me my brother in Canada can now hear me on Face Time, with no echo, and this is much appreciated. Many thanks. What is really strange is the fact that the Microphone icon is still stuck on Mute! As far as I'm concerned it can stay like that while ever the sound is working. Just one more thing - the Library application has now disappeared from Finder and I can't retrieve it, despite trying everything suggested by Apple. Any ideas??? I think the gremlins have been to work on my computer.

Thank you again.
