Syncing my iPhone to my macbook pro

I just synced everything from my iPhone to my new macbook pro, but my music wont play. It says some of my music is in itunes, but not all of it. For the music that is there it wont let me play any of it, it has the little sync symbol next to it but its not syncing, please help. Is there not enough storage space? Theres only about 200 songs
