iPhone playing random songs instead of what I select!

I just started using iTunes Match about a week ago. So far it has been working pretty well. However, tonight I was trying to play some songs on my iPhone and had some weird behavior. I have a smart playlist that has 100 songs that were least recently played, and I download this playlist to the phone every few days. Anyway, I was trying to listen to individual songs from this list, and 4 times out of 5 it would just start playing some other random song from the list! Like, it would show the proper title for a split-second in the "now playing" screen but then immediately move on to some other song! Certain songs that I selected would play as expected. I can't figure what would cause the difference in behavior. If I go to the artist list and play the songs from there it works fine; it just seems to be when I'm trying to play from the smart list.

Any ideas? It's pretty annoying.

You really don't have a lot of other options for trouble shooting. If you've already tried using the iExplore application to remove Music related files from the iPhone, then an erase and restore is really the last step to try to get it to work. Sorry the news isn't any better

Yeah I get that... Just don't have a lot of faith it will work. Seems like I might need to try scrapping Match and starting over. I'm supposed to talk with support again on Tuesday after "the engineers" take a look at my case.

Well, tonight I wiped the iPhone and reinstalled the OS. Instead of restoring from a backup, I thought I would try just setting the phone up from scratch in case that might help. No dice. Still getting random songs playing when I try to play from a smart playlist. Now it doesn't seem to matter if the songs are downloaded already or not. Sooooo frustrating!

Same thing happening to me. Im playing playlist which Ive had for months. Skips through the first 8 or 9 songs. When I try to find those songs on the phone, it says they are there. Try to play and no good. I tried turning off iMatch, signing out of itunes, syncing manually and over wifi. No good!
