iPod Shuffle VoiceOver not working 4th Gen.

My iPod Shuffle 4th generation blue without engraving is normally playing great, and I've just had it for 3 days. I synced it 3 times. I don't know what the cause of this is, but the voiceover button is not telling me what song I'm playing or my battery life, but for some reason, it IS telling me the playlist I'm on. I don't know what the problem is but I would appreciate help ASAP.

to enable VoiceOver on the shuffle's Summary tab in iTunes? This document also provides instructions for using VoiceOver, so you can take a look at that too.


NOTE: Playlist menu is press and hold. Track announcement is press and release.
