Also experiencing the same problem but on a PC using Itunes. Why do Apple make such simple things this so difficult? I even had to logon twice just to write in this forum. So much for watching a movie rental tonight. 😟

Maybe this will help everyone out.

DO NOT USE the iTunes App on your MacBook to update your credit card information. Go to the Apple Website via Safari or Chrome and Sign in with your Apple ID and Password. Go down to the area to manage your "Credit Card" information. Now go ahead and change your information there and save the changes. After you do that you should receive an email stating that you have updated your credit card. There you go. Fixed!

I am in the UK and have been trying all morning to purchase an album !!! keep getting this message - so annoying - i have tried using a PC, my Ipod, My Ipad and my Iphone - same message - this is terribly annoying!!!!

when will they fix this!!

No change for me either. I have reset the accounts, logged out and back oin, turned devices on and off. Followed many suggestions on here but notihing. Thisis **** frustrating. Logged two emails with support and nothing back either.

Just tried the verification process again and this time it has worked and accepted the card (I was only trying to download a free app). Have tried on my Mac, iPhone and iPad - all working fine now! Someone must have flicked the switch at Apple.

I have exactly the same problem. I accessed my account from a new device and I need to input my card CCV. I have a replacement bank card (it's activated and works except when I try to put the new CCV details into my apple account).

Looking at the discussion threads, this is not exactly an uncommon problem. What is Apple doing to fix it???

Im currently locked out of the App Store, cant even buy free games as the buy button reads"Billing Info" and verifying billing details results in "Payment processing is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

I'm from Australia as well, having the same issue.

Raised case with apple support and they said there is an issue with accessing my payment details and I should contact my bank.

Contacted my bank and was told there is an australia wide issue affecting credit card and eftpos payments, Multiple finiancial institutions affected, there is no ETA. Something to do with a backend payment gateway, not sure what that means exactly but sounds big.

Funny how you pick on my spelling then all of a sudden your last post is 'Edited by host' to have proper English and grammar. Btw I'm typing on an iPad, sorry if I miss a few grammar points. Not really writing an essay for an English exam.

And FYI as I say again, this isn't apples fault, there are numerous business around Australia that currently do not have eft pops capabilities, Woolworths is another, and a few local stores around me also. The payment gateway for a few banks that process Apples transactions are down. Apple can't help that.

I'm having this issue a year later. I have been trying to change my card information for...at least a few months. They don't tell you that you can't use PayPal in the App Store on an iPad, and now I can't fix it.

Am having the same problem as well.. and now i cant update my apps and it's really making me frustrated. how do i file a complain with this since no one seems to have any concrete resolve method.😠😠😠
