iPhone 5 wifi drops out

Hi all,

After having spent a few hours looking for a solution I've tried to modify a parameter on the wifi router.

I suggest to enable the upnp service on your wifi router !

This did the trick for me.Now the iphone goes to sleep but messages and notifications are received in a few seconds.

Another suggestion to improve wifi stability and performance is to set the security to wpa2 aes.

Hope this could help someone.

It helped me a lot by doing a very simple step. Latest issues for dropping wifi is only on your iPhone5. I just bought my iPhone5c and same issues. After trying all these things. One tap, And all done!

JUST TAP THE "RENEW LEASE"

Go to Settings>> Wi-Fi >> Blue button beside your routers name >> RENEW LEASE. And, you're done. It helped me. I hope it helps you too! 🙂

I am having this same problem and it looks I am not the only one! Unfortunately, I went to the Apple Store in San Francisco and eventhough the Genius guy told me that the problem is in the manufacture process, he could not exchange the phone, since one year ago Apple exchange my old Iphone 5 cause I was having battery issues. The only way to solve with Apple now is paying more than $250 for a refurbished Iphone. Unfortunately it doesn't look like Apple anymore!!! 😟➖⚠
