What does reply with message mean?

In the Passcode Lock section of Settings, you can decide what you can access when the iPod is locked, and I was wondering what "Reply with Message" is?

iPod touch, iOS 6, 5th Generation, Product (RED), 64GB

With apologies to the other poster, that is an iPhone only feature and works with incoming phone calls.

So Apple included a setting I can't even use? Well that's dumb! I hope they realize the mistake and remove it in a future update.

Your iPod touch can't receive phone calls, but it can recieve FaceTime calls.

@whatheck It's an iPod, not a phone...

@deggie If I leave it on, can other people use my iPod to send messages without my permission (without unlocking). Or is it more like holiday mode on email, where a canned message is sent. Should I bother to turn it off if I don't want others to have access (I turned off Siri when locked for this reason).
