I Pad disabbled/locked

Hi dear all , my ipad has been locked after many unsucessful attempts to open it with wrong password by my kid.it is hsowing "ipad disabbled , connect to itunes"....now i tried to sort this issue out by following all steps suggested by this apple support community i.e plugging USB after turning it off n then on but of no use.It is showing on the screen of my computer that an unknown error has occurred and itunes could not be connected with this iphon.

Now help me what shouyld i do , before this i never synchronized my ipad with any device.

You may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 - you should then be able to reset the iPad and restore/resync your content to it.


If you haven't been backing up the iPad to your computer's iTunes then you won't have a backup on it to restore your content from. Or have you been backing up to the cloud instead ? If not then you should be able to re-download your apps and ibooks (those that are still in the store) via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPad (Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app for your ibooks) or the Purchased link under Quick links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes. You may also be able to re-download music, films and tv shows
