In Case of Emergency. ICE

Do you think it would be a good idea to be able to put an In Case of Emergency (ICE) number on the lock screen of iOS devices?


It would be like the lost phone mode on find my iPhone, where someone who finds your phone, such as a paramedic or police officer can use it to call the number if you are involved in an accident, .

Write an contact phone number on masking tape, and stick it on the back. A low tech solution that exactly no one does, judging by the number of iPhones, iPods, and iPads I have found left behind in public places.


No EMS first responder is going to figure out how to work your gadgets. The first thing they do is look in your purse or wallet for some form of ID.
