How do I add Gmail to the share options, so that I can share stuff via Gmail rather than the Mail app?

I just got my wife a Mini, but I am more familiar with Android (all of my other iDevices are from previous generations). I am trying to figure out how she can share stuff from within apps to her Gmail account. She has not set up the built-in Mail app since she uses Gmail, but when she wants to share something out of Pinterest using her Gmail, it only gives her the option to share to Mail, and asks her to set up an account. I am sure there must be a way to share directly using Gmail, but I can't figure it out. Can we add Gmail as a "share" recipient somewhere in the iOS settings? Having the iOS Mail client somehow sync with Gmail will be way more complication than she wants. Thanks for any help!

Well, having to set it up that way in the first place. But more, she will have to use two different user interfaces. She likes, and is comfortable with, the gmail app and will not like the idea of having to use an entirely different application for her gmail. On her phone, when she wants to share something, there are a dozen different options, she can share just about anything TO just about anything. I will explain it to her, but it is going to frustrate her that she can't just use the gmail app itself to share.

I'm on 9.3.1 on my 6S+ and the Gmail app is one of my sharing choices. Maybe you're not scrolling your choices enough to see it?

Well, thanks, but I scrolled as far as I could to the bottom and no more Gmail app ! I've been looking in all the possible settings to see if something could prevent that it shows up here and I still don’t understand why it doesn’t. All the other services that sync with my gmail account (notes, calendar, contacts) are working right so far. Any help very appreciated.
