Accessing iTunes Music Library database

I'd like to find some way -- perhaps through third-party applications, add-ons, or just simple programming languages -- that I can query the iTunes Music Library, and do things beyond what are possible within iTunes itself.

For example, I'd like to perform queries such as:

Find all records from PlaylistA that are also in PlaylistB.

Find all records in the entire database that are NOT IN Playlist C.

Find all records in the database with {qualifer 1} and {qualfier 1} and not ({qualifier 3} or {qualifier 4}).

These are all simple queries in something like SQL, but not from within iTunes. What other applications are there that can access the iTunes database in this manner (and, hopefull, with a decent GUI interface)???

I had not looked at the SDK yet -- in fact, I wasn't aware of it. I've just downloaded the iTunes COM for Windows, and will probably spend some time with it over the weekend. I was hoping, however, for more of a "finished" solution -- not that I don't mind diving into the SDK, but just based on my current lack of "free time" for this kind of thing. I do have Red Chair Software's Anapod Explorer, which contains a Web-based, SQL-like query interface called Xtreamer. However, it really only looks at things like ID3 tags, and I don't think it can access things like Playlists.

Thanks for the pointer.
