you aren't talking to Apple, people who answer these questions are regular people just like you.
There's no one from Apple here. We are all fellow iPad user.
Try turn off the following:
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Push>OFF
Settings>Notifications>Mail>Gmail>Notification Center>OFF
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Fetch New Data>Off
Since updating my ipad 2 to latest software the battery becomes to drain fast lasting for 8 or 9 hours hope it will be fixed in the upcoming update
