communication error with lbp 3300

Plug it directly into the Mac by USB.. if it doesn't work, it will never work by the TC.

I don't know.. you can try it.. I just tried to help someone setup a Canon printer and the CAPT driver could not print over network.. these printers have no printer language.. the whole page has to be interpreted by the computer.. I think you will find networking printing really hard.. local printing ok. does seem to work.. but if you have communications issue.. all you can do is delete the printer in the Mac and try again..

Check if the printer is being recognised by the Airport Utility .. you will need to load 5.6 utility to do this.
