I make and receive calls with my iPhone 5 through my car bluetooth stereo system. My texts messages, however, do not display. (They did with my old flip phone.) I have searched for the way to turn this feature on, but no luck. Would appreciate instructions on how to turn this feature on.

They are not convoluted answers because not all automobile Bluetooth systems support text messaging. If yours does then more power to you.
Maybe not having the notifications enabled was my problem the whole time! I'm so glad unchecked this out.
What do you do if the show notificaton button is not there? I have tried everything...it's just not there
The only way for this to work is your car must be able to pick up text messages from your phone or a text message feature

Yeah ditto that. The apps, on the other hand, are pletiful. There are so many compared to the windows phone. The OS itself, however, feels unfinished.

This worked on my iphone 5 and now that I upgraded to iphone 7 it's not working. Newer phone less features? Makes no sense.
