MacBook Air power adaptor foreign country

Is it safe to use a standard adaptor for alternate current in foreign country for the MacBookAir?

I've done so with my iPod and there was no problem other than the charger running hot.

Is there a risk of something happening to the laptop?

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Do keep in mind - because of the higher voltage (Asia and Europe) your charger will get warmer - but no enough to worry about overheating issues.

When I was using my iphone in Europe - my iphone was getting warm when charging because it's connected directly to the wall socket like your ipod.

On the macbook however, your charger (magsafe) will get most of the heat and not your Macbook.
