Mud in headphone jack

Hi there,

I dropped my phone on the ground today, and when I picked it up I noticed a little bit of mud in the corner near the headphone jack. I wiped it off and continued with my day. Later, I noticed I had some texts and didn't remember hearing the notification. When I pressed the volume button on the side I saw the "headphones" volume display. I assume the phone thinks the mud is a headphone jack and therefore won't play any audio including notifications, music, etc. I've tried using a straightened paper clip to try and scrape any mud out of the hole but I can't seem to get much out. Any suggestions?

Thanks
