No matter what I put in, it will not save phone number under "My Number" it is my number and SIM. Phone is not Jailbroken, but it is unlocked from an ATT fulfilled plan

This shows and it won’t let me click the unknown box, Ive tried restarting my phone multiple times, I think yesterday it worked all suddenly but then today it went off again
Same issue here. Factory unlocked iPhone 4 from AT&T 6.1.3 (10B329). Getting: "Phone number could not be saved."
I had the exact same problem. What fixed it for me was that I had an iphone 3gs before i got the 4, so I already had i tunes. What I did was plug my old phone(the iphone 3gs) in and in Itunes under file > devices > backup device, I backed up the phone. Then I plugged the iphone 4 in and picked restore device. I tunes had me select which phone data I wanted to restore, I selected the name of the old phone and did a restore. This put all my apps, contacts, and photo stream from my old phone on to my new one, and it also automatically saved my phone number into that setting. Also it restored all the settings I had from the previous iphone. I hope this helps you it worked for me no problem. the restore takes about thirty minutes. MINE ARE BOTH FACTORY UNLOCKED. I DON'T KNOW IF THAT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE, but give it a try.
for me, i restarted my iphone and it then automatically had my correct phone number.
I can also confirm that a restart was required for the number to appear automatically. Could not save the number prior to a restart.
For Telstra customers you can unlock on line with telstra.com/unlock (although the first time I went via the operator)
