Is my 4th generation iPod nano capable of playing high bit rate songs?
I have some music in my iTunes Library that's as high as 320 kbps. I was wondering if my iPod can play those high bit rate songs.
Thank you.

According to the specs
http://support.apple.com/kb/SP497
"Audio formats supported: AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, and 4), Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV"
Sounds like a YES 🙂
You can certainly buy better ones. The new Apple headphones (the "EarPods") that come with the newest iPods and iPhones sound better, although the remote control buttons on the cord may not work with older iPods. Actually, the product listing on the online Apple Store says it's compatible with the 4th gen nano. I bought them separately, and they are pretty good for under $30 headphones.
Another less expensive set that I think sounds excellent, is the Sennheiser CX-200. I got them on sale for about $15. Surprisingly good.
Thank you for the reply!
But I'm pretty sure the Earphones that came with my iPod doesn't give justice to the high quality sounds. Am I right? (:
