My 2nd generation ipod nano won't sync with my new laptop.

I actually can see my ipod in in itunes, but the sync button is grayed out so I am unable to sync.

I've run through the troubleshooter suggestions and am not having success.

I am running Windows 7. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Unless there are songs on it that are not in your current iTunes library, I would do a Restore on the iPod in iTunes. This will erase the iPod, re-install its software, and set it to default settings.
