ipod apps keep crashing and lock buttons broken im using assissive touch cant turn ipod off unless letting battery drain help

ipod keeps crashing whenever im on an app and i cant do anythiing anymore im using assssive touch because my lock button doesnt work and i dont want a new ipod cause i cNt afford it and how much would this be for a repair and also my ipod is extrremely slow i can hardly do anything on it anymore and i use it all the time can someone please help or give me a usefull answer thanks !

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and hear what they have to say.
