Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Received 2 appointments, same date, same content, just different hours. Since then I receive message from iCal: Access to “Subject” in account “iCloud” is not permitted. The server responded "403" to CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation. It's a bug!

Received 2 appointments from a customer, same date, same content, just different hours. Since then I receive message from iCal: Access to “Subject” in account “iCloud” is not permitted. The server responded "403" to CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation. In my opinion this is a bug, because iCloud is not able to handle 2 appointments at the same date with same content, just at different hours. The different hours should be enough individuality for each event on calendar.

I'm thinking to call the Apple Support about this issue. I have to work some hours now, but I will do that tomorrow. It's also strange to me.

So far I will find any solution I let you know. I was thinking to write a script to reformate the invitations (the console messages let me know what they don't like in the syntax - I rmemeber my time as Windows user 10 years ago - bad times), but this workarrounds can't be a solution in a professional environment.

Thanks a lot for your patient and motivating attendace in this matter!!!

Hi,

Are you found any solution to this problem? Because it's exactly the same what is happening with me.

This happens when I receive any invite updated (ics file) from Outlook or to any invite from Lotus Notes.

If you have any ideia to helping me, I'll appreciate!

Thank you!

Until now it's a long story.

Because of my protection plan Apple Germany did investigate and finally they have no solution.

The steps until now:

1. Apple gave me a new password, which is also known by the systems, so they can investigate. I don't know what really happen, they contact me several times and we checked several configurations, without any positive result.

2. In the meantime my iCloud calendars have their own life. If I create new events from my MB in a iCloud calendar, thos events sometimes never appear or are synced in 2 or 3 days. Some events are not forwarded to the invited persons. Nobody know why.

3. I was contacted by the Apple support remotely and exact at this time everything did worked as it should. But anyway they saw also some of the misbehavior and they know there is a problem.

4. Now the problem is forwarded to the US, where the german support don't have any influence on. They can't tell me what will happen next, or if something will happen.

It's annoying and disappointing.

Now I use just my local calendars, because those work fine. That's it at the moment and it seems to me the solution is still far away.

I tried two times to get support on this case. You are definitely not alone. Have the problem with the forbidden when invitations change and had exactly the same problems on some other Macbooks with other E-Mail addresses and other Outlook invitations.

I bet on a bug in iCloud, no, I'm absolutely sure it's a bug in iCloud. And I really wonder why this old bug hasn't been fixed until today.

Currently thinking about using an own functional CalDav server. Isn't such a big deal without all this hassle..

best regards

Rolf

Any update to this? Did anyone receive any more information from Apple?

Hard to believe this hasn't been fixed yet, I still get this error on a regular basis and always with calendar events that were not created by me i.e. emailed invites originating from the organizer's Google calendar or Apple calendar.

The server responded:

“403”

to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.

Thanks.

Modifying appointment on my Mac that has just been updated OS X 10.9.1 and getting Access to “XXXX” in “XXX” in account “iCloud” is not permitted.The server responded:“403” to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.

These are apointments I created and invited my family to join. They have accepted the invite. Have NOT received them from outside parties.

Disabled iCloud in Cal and then re enabled but did not solve problem.

Have read some of the previous posts and tried the suggestions without luck.

Any suggestions?

I upgraded to Mavericks some time ago, but the problem started some time afterwards, so I don't believe it was Mavericks. I started to get this error message when adding calendar events for events I have signed up for online, e.g. webinars. They typically allow you a choice of calendar format and although I always choose iCal, they get erased from iCal within a few minutes. I signed out of iCloud and had everything from iCloud removed from my MBP. When I reconnected to iCloud, everyting seems to have been restored. I don't know which program was used to create the calendar event.

At first I hit ignore without really looking at the event, but the message kept coming back. If I ignored teh message and left it on the screen, that would be fine until I needed to use iCal. When I finally hit "Revert To Server" it took me through a series of events that the server didn't like and deleted them all from iCloud. Since many of the events had been added a while ago, I can't even remember what has been lost and have been missing the event.

Most of the events include a link to a website that will allow me to log in to a webinar with a unique identifier. I don't know if that will help Apple to resolve this issue, or if they even monitor these forums.

This has been a plague to me and my whole company for years. It's embarrassing that we could put a man on the moon, that we could engineer self driving cars and myriad unfathomable innovations and yet basic calendar and email problems like this continue to plague us.

Dear Apple, Please take this seriously. Seems to me that these days being able to accept calendar invites is an MVP feature for any OS default Calendar program.

Sep 17, 2014 8:17 AM in response to C.P.C.

I too have had this problem for years. It seems to be related to the following:

I have an iCloud email address for personal use and a company email address for business use. Meeting requests sent to my iCloud email address work perfectly. I can receive invitations from Exchange servers and if I get a meeting change, the meeting changes as you expect it would in Calendar.

However, if I get a meeting request to my company email address, the initial invitation creates a calendar event correctly. If I receive a meeting change, then I get the dreaded "The server responded "403" to CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation" error and all I can do is revert to server and the new meeting time is deleted from Calendar. Obviously this means I cannot use iCloud calendar to sync between devices using my business email address. Totally unusable for business!

The error in the Console is as follows:

<A:error xmlns:A="DAV:">

<B:valid-attendee-change xmlns:B="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:caldav"/>

<F:error-description xmlns:F="urn:mobileme:davservices">Attendees are not allowed to overwrite one type with another. schedule / calendar</F:error-description>

</A:error>

Looking at the error description, it seems that iCloud thinks that the attendee (me) is trying to alter the meeting type. However, the change is coming from the Organiser. So it certainly looks like a bug. As to why the same error does not occur with iCloud email addresses I have no idea.

If this is an official bug (like I hope it is!) where can I post my comments?
