Syncing ITunes to new IPod

Trying to sync my new IPod Touch to my ITunes already on my computer from previous Ipod. Its not syncing...please help

Are you following the correct instructions?

iTunes 11 for Windows: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad
