why i can't open my download video using jaksta in Quicktime player on a mac?

I'am new to Mac can some one help me with this issue. I'am using Jaksta to download videos from you tube and they can not be open using quicktime player. Do i need to install a program? Please some one help me.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

Quicktime doesn't support all formats. Try using one of these video players.
