Printing A3 Booklet from Pages

Hello,
I am trying to print my 4 x A4 Pages document to a double sided A3 booklet ie with 2xA4 pages per side. No matter what I do I end up with 2 smaller than A4 pages per A3 sheet - margins are uneven and it cannot be folded into a booklet like this.

I have used a mixture of Layout and Paper Handling and I have tried printing just single sided (ie pages 2 & 3 to A3 single sided) - I figured I could do the double sided manually if needs be as long as I could get 2 fullA4 pages to print on an A3 sheet...but no luck!
I have tried using Cocoa Booklet and this has not overcome the problem
I have exported to word but the margins and layout gets screwed up in the export...
I have tried using both an Epson 1290 and an HP Colour Laserjet 5550

Defeats the whole purpose of buying Pages if I can't create booklets this way, so I'd be grateful for any clues

Thanks Bryan ...sadly that fix won't work for my purpose which is to create newsletters using Pages Templates ... Both printers print A3 and from Word I can print 2 A4 pages side by side on an A3 sheet... but as I said, exporting to word screws up the formatting.

Then the problem seems to be with the printer instead of the application. I don't know your printer at all, but I could imagine that it lacks resizing controls or things. I assume you checked all the controls in the Print dialog including "advanced settings".

I don't know if you could download a new driver from the manufacturer, or check with the manufacturer's support or discussion pages? (This is just a guess. I may be babbling here.)

Ok... thanks but it's not a printer problem.

Have just been trawling through all the discussion on PRINTING PROBLEMS with PAGES (there are quite a few...)

Discovered 2 things that help:

If you go to VIEW and select HIDE Comments the problem disappears
then...
If using Cocoa Booklet (a terrific little application) go to preferences and set margins at Zero.

To print from any application to an A3 piece of paper the printer has to be able to print to A3 paper. Set the page setup to A3, lay out the document as an A3 (not A4) document and then print.
