I am trying to install a memorex DVD Writer to my MAC AIR. Nothing happens. what do I do next? The instructions are to open My Computer and double click. Where is that on the Apple? I am used to a PC and I am completely lost.

How do I install an externql DVD player to my N
Mac Air?

Ok...

Try this - connect your dvd writer to your macbook air's usb port. insert any dvd in your external dvd.

click anywhere in your desktop until you see the words finder beside your apple logo - see image below.

from there click on finder - prefernces - general and put at checkmark on CDs, DVDs, and iPods.

exit that one and you should see your DVD ROM drive in your right top side on your screen - if it works that is.
