Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I can open the desktop through finder, but my desktop is blank and unresponsive. I have tried, restarting, rebooting, cleaning the plist, the .DS and even reinstalling my Mountain Lion. I installed the app pathfinder, which it said might cause problems to the finder, could it be? how can i fix it?
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)
Sorry about that, it,s just safari and some other app which I was using during the screenshot and I cleared (show desktop gesture) them so I can see the desktop, I thought this didn.t affect the result. Here's an image without them.

i have the same problem but i still cant find my files that i had on the desktop.what did u do to get them back.

I was losing my freaking mind. Was in the same boat as others. I'd done a bunch of troubleshooting, gone through caches, plists, reboots and nothing.
