Aperture no longer ejecting/unmounting cards

I just did a complete refresh of my iMac, including a reinstall of OSX and Aperture 3.x. I've noticed that after importing images from a memory card, and selecting the option to delete images and eject the card, Aperture no longer ejects (unmounts) the card, so I get the warning message when I pull the card out of the card-reader. Any idea what could have changed to cause that? Thanks.

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Aperture seems to have sorted this issue ot with updates.

I did change my practice and no longer use Aperture to clean off the SD cards. I just "keep" the files and then format in camera. Actually it is faster to have the camera do this, than to wait for Aperture to clean off a large SD card.
