have a 2nd hand 160 gig ipod classic it says it is corrupted and set to mac when i have a pc ! Will not restore any ideas

having major trouble with a "nd hand ipod classic i purchased recently it was formated to a mac i have a pc when i try to restore or refomat it comes up as corrupted no matter what i try any ideas

Windows cannot read the Mac disk format. Try putting it in Disk Mode first

Run iTunes on the computer. Connect the iPod to a direct USB port on the computer. iTunes should prompt you about doing a Restore, to reformat the iPod using the Windows format. Hopefully it works this time...


If it does not work, it is possible that the iPod's hard drive is faulty.
