How long does this update take to download? Last time it was like 9 hrs

Last time I updated an update from my Acer Netbook it took 9 hours. I was trying to find out if this normal or if I am doing something incorrectly. I have only had my phone since last fall

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.2

That would depend on your network (wifi) connection.

The update is about 900 MB, and the download time is purely a function of your Internet connection speed. On my FiOS connection it takes about 5 minutes.
