Feb 9, 2015 10:48 AM in response to Common_sense_manby occassional contributor,I haven't tried this cable but it should work. The MFi/lightning certification is for a cable that connects to USB or does something similarly transformative Here, the cable is simply an extension - imagine that it is just s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g out the contacts on the lightning connector. So it is just pure wire, no conversion or similar that would require the lightning chip to confirm compliance. My biggest issue is that, for what is really a simple piece of wire, the price is outrageous.

Feb 9, 2015 10:51 AM in response to Zuelitoby occassional contributor,I haven't tried this cable but it should work. The MFi/lightning certification is for a cable that connects to USB, is another adapter (such as lightning to 30-pin), or does something similarly transformative. Here, the cable is simply an extension - imagine that it is just s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g out the contacts on the lightning connector. My biggest issue is that, for what is really a simple piece of wire, either the price is outrageous or the sellers seem to be very iffy.

Feb 28, 2015 8:53 PM in response to occassional contributorby BT fan,I bought one and it doesn't work. It seems the entire cable has to be MFi certified.
