Semi-colon/colon key not working
I have Lion on a Macbook Pro and all of a sudden I realized my colon key is not working at all.
Any thoughts?
iBook G4 (14-inch), iOS 6.1.3
Here are other issues I found today and things I have tried
Issues
- Numbers are not showing correctly, but characters are.
- Control, option, shift keys are all ok
- All the numbers are displaying themselves along with a function or symbol.
For example if I hit 1 it also shows the volume display. If I touch the volume display it will type a 1. If I type a 4 it looks like this 4] and hitting the ] types 4]. So something is interchangable. I can delete the added character as well.
Steps I've taken
- Tried option, control, shift to restart while plugged to the power (called Apple for this recommendation)
- Pram restart, although I accidently held it for 3 chimes
- Called Apple
- Check system Pref languages
- Did a hardware check & came up with no issues
I know I can take it in, but work from home and really need items to be functioning over the weekend. Any thoughts?
