I'm on hold right now w/ apple support. The restore I did last night w/ apple online chat support was worthless. I've insisted that this is a yahoo sync issue. I think she gets it. I'm on hold right now. I've told her that there are numerous people experiencing the same problem and they're all on the support community board.

I have an att.net email - email/contact ok, no calendar - same as your issue.

I'll keep everyone posted. For a $600 phone, they should get this right!

Well, I spoke w/ Apple Support. They do realize it's a Yahoo sync issue. They said there's nothing they can do about it - that I should speak with Yahoo about it. I've heard that hasn't been successful, especially if you're an att.net yahoo customer.

So, earlier today, I also tried to sync my yahoo and google calendars in the hopes of using yahoo cal at my desktop and google cal on my iphone. The google cal works on iphone through caldav set up or google setup. But, I couldn't share my yahoo calendar on the desktop. I used to be able to do this back in my blackberry days when all BB had was google sync for calendar. When I cut and pasted the ics cal address from att.net cal into google cal, error message - not valid calendar. Yikes!

So, next idea - I have another yahoo.com email address that I haven't used in a long time, but is still active. So, I shared this yahoo.com calendar w/ the att.net calendar and vice versa. I set up this yahoo.com calendar on my iphone using the Yahoo function(not caldav), and selected only the calendar to show. And, it all works. I am able to use my att,net cal on my desktop and it shows up in the yahoo.com cal on the desktop and on the iphone. So, to me, it looks like this issue may be only affecting the att.net type of accounts.

If anyone has any questions and needs more detail, let me know.

Well done you for finally getting thru to Apple. I don't have an att / sbc / or u-verse account, mine is BT yahoo in the uk. I asked the question on a yahoo site as others were reporting the same issues there as well. Got a response this morning .....

Got the usual, delete, reinstall, check the box to choose yahoo calendar...... Yah di yah da! Despite the fact that I'd explained that I'd tried all that. Have asked the question again, await response

I have my iPhone 5 and iPad 2 linked to 2 seperate Yahoo Calendar, my wireless provider is Verizon and my internet provider is Comcast. On May 8th I noticed that my iPhone 5 was no longer updating my att.net Yahoo calendar. By that evening, the att.net calendar had totally disappeared from my iPad 2 and it was not syncing at all to my iPhone. I also have a Gmail calendar syncing to both devices and it is working without issue. My boss and I share the att.net calendar for appointments and he updates from a laptop and I have always used either my iPhone or iPad to view anything that he adds or changes.
Changing email service is not an option even though this has happened at least twice in the past year. 😠

I'd like to clarify the above further but saying when this happened in the past I had a 4S. Exact same issue!

`

Here is what I have tried~

Deleted and reinstalling the att.net account on the iPad numerous time I too notice that the account was not showing up in the options to turn it on in Calendars. When I would delete and re-add the att.net account in SETTINGS it would be "turned on" but then it would not appear in the Calendars App as an option to turn that account on. I never deleted the account from my iPhone so old appointments can still be seen but any changed to the Calendar are not updating in either direction.

Frustrated I called Apple support May 9th and after speaking to Tech Support for over an hour was transferred to AT&T support. Now working on almost 2 hours between the 2 Tech Support I was transferred back to Apple support who then escalted my call to a Supervisor for another 30 minutes of troubleshooting. Still not being able to get the Calendar to load she promised to research the issue and return my call the following day May 11th @ 4:30 PM. On her return call, she said that she did not have an answer to the issue but she was aware that I was not alone and there were many people all having the exact same issue. She as well as I believe this is a Yahoo issue. She tryed to locate a contact number for Yahoo becasue they were the keeper of this solution rather than AT&T but as of Friday evening she was not able to find any contact phone numbers to speak directly with Yahoo.

At the end of our conversation Friday May 11th, she promised to follow up with me during the week to try to resolve this issue. Currently, I now need to use my laptop to see the AT&T calender.

I have exactly the same problem - loss of sync between my Yahoo calendar (provided by BT Yahoo) and my i-Phone (an i-Phone 4s running IOs 6.1.3).

For the past year the sync has worked perfectly but the Calendar sync stopped a couple of weeks ago (so new calendar entries on the PC calendar didn't appear on the iPhone and new entries on the iPhone calendar didn't appear on the PC). As suggested on the Yahoo site, I tried deleting the entire Yahoo account and reinstalling it - my e-mails and contacts are syncing again but still not the calendar (and I have now lost all the old, previous calendar entries...). On the iPhone I can see Yahoo listed under the "Accounts" section of "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" (and in that accountCalendar is turned on) but further down under the "Calendars" section I cannot see Yahoo as an option under "Default Calendar".

As others have said, there is almost certainly a problem either with a recent Apple software update or a recent Yahoo software update. This issue apppears to be affecting a vast number of people - one would have hoped that the two companies would have identified and sorted the problem by now.

I've spoken today to BTYahoo technical help, who initially said they knew nothing of the problem, then said I could pay for more assistance ⚠, and finally agreed to look into the issue and get back to me later today. Watch this space...

What is the phone number for Yahoo support? The Apple supervisor has tried unsuccessfully to local the number and I'd love to pass it along to her.

I think we should all inundate their call center with this issue. I'm convinced its a Yahoo issue and not an Apple issue.

In my original call to Apple I too was told I needed to pay for Apple support because my iPad was beyond the warranty period.

Why is my Yahoo calendar not shown on my iPhone5. I added the account.
