Hey, I just got my new iPhone and really excited about that! I love Apple's products, and planning to buy a Mac in July.
But I searched the internet and found that the default image viewer for mac Preview just can't support viewing gif... I love to make gif and love ti view them.
Is there any photo viewer for mac that suppotr viewing gif in a convenient way?
If there's no such software, then I'd really stay with my old pc.....

Select the file (don't open it, just select it) and hit Command+Y. You can only open one at a time. Use tab to cycle through your various files. You can adjust the image size by dragging the corner. Note, all windows will remain that size while cycling through them. Unfortunately, you can't adjust window sizes with command plus or minus.

Click on the GIF in the finder window and hit the space bar.
Get Info on the file and expand the little "Preview" space in the getInfo box
The "select file and hit ⌘Y or space bar" technique is very convenient. Works for jpg, gif, animated gif, mp4, even wmf files. As pointed out, the arrow keys will move you from one file to next. Interesting to note, if you're displaying the files in icon view, then the you must move up/down to the next row of file icons with the up/down arrows… the left/right arrows don't automatically do that.
any other photo viewer that I can view gif directly with on mac?
try Preview or an application called "Image Tricks". usually do a "get info" (cloverleaf+I) on the .gif itself, and then open with Preview or whatever. Save your changes and that should do it
there's usually a way to do it that'll work

Hey, I did a little research and found it mostly is a photo editing software for mac, Then I found an App named Photo+, it promises to support viewing animated gif on mac, have you heard about it yet?

I'm on OSX 10.9.2 and there is no way--even Safari-- to open gifs and view them. I just got a new stop motion gif and i would like to see it

Set the Finder window in Column View. Select the GIF file, it will play in the column to its right. Resize the column or the Finder window as necessary...
