hi guys!!

when using the automation and you click on the track down arrow you get a dropdown saying "track volume/track pan"

which you can then set along the time line at different points to gp up or down or left and right.!!

this works fine..but also you can set "add automation" to effects and so on and have them do things along the timeline...

when i click on "add automation"the window that opens lets me select effects but are not highlighted ..they appear grey in colour instead of a healthy

black colour...

and wont do anything at all...anybody had this problem??

thanks..

Hi Leonie!!

problem was solved with Apple sending me a download of the complete set of "software instruments"

after exhausting all possible solutions....

i then discarded all the existing instruments and replaced with the freshly downloaded ones

and it worked...thank God!!

i am now going to ask you a way to disengage the start up sound on my Imac..

any ideas?

No idea - tell me, if you find out.

I used this prefpane with snowleopard:

https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/16425/startupsound.prefpane

but it does no longer work with Mt. Lion on my mac.

For Mt. Lion see here: How disable startup sound mountain lion?
