Use iCloud email on Android Device?

I have a new iMac & iPad. But am still using an Android phone. I'd like to change my email address to iCloud. Does anyone know if I can send & receive emails using my new iCloud address on my Android device?

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.5), iPad 16g too.

I've used Macs for years and had 3 iPhones, but I recently changed to an LG G5 Android.

I cannot set up my iCloud email account on the new phone, despite following all the instructions to the word - including those on the link. (I've had no problem setting up the other accounts, which were all POP.)

I keep getting 'Wrong sign-in info. Try again' although the username and password are correct.

I had the same issue on my Kindle. I gave up in the end.

Would having two-way verification on my iCloud account have anything to do with it?

You may need to create an app-specific password. I quote:

You can generate an app-specific password from your Apple ID account page and enter it into the password field of the app that you want to sign in to. This will allow you to sign in securely even if the app you’re using doesn’t support entering verification codes. For example, you might use an app-specific password to sign in to iCloud using a third party email, address book, or calendar app.

If you want to generate an app-specific password, sign in to your Apple ID account page. In the Security section, click Edit > Generate Password.

Learn more about app-specific passwords.
