Use iCloud email on Android Device?

I have a new iMac & iPad. But am still using an Android phone. I'd like to change my email address to iCloud. Does anyone know if I can send & receive emails using my new iCloud address on my Android device?

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.5), iPad 16g too.

I did these exact steps and then I received a pop message that the server could not be connected for authentication?
