I have a pdf file that's 32 mb. Its too big I need to resize it down, but the option at export>quartz filter>reduce file size just makes it too small that letters from the file can't be read.
Any way to reduce the file size where I can choose a size or % of reduction??

Well there are many tools that do that for you. For this one time application you should try the online compressor Smallpdf.com - should do the job. There you can't choose many settings but it should make it a pdf that is still good quality with the maximum compression possible. Good luck!
You can compress/zip it, which will reduce its size somewhat. A 1 MB pdf after zipping is 745 KB. Select the pdf and right click, or file>compress and choose compress.
32MB is tiny! How can this be a problem?
